Introducing : SNIPPETS a new segment of our blog

Recently I’ve had the pleasure to encounter many budding craft based businesses in Singapore and I was blown away by the creativity and passion I was seeing. The blog here so far has been an outlet for me to write about the business end of things and just my casual thoughts as owner of Shophouse Sixtyfive. However since realising the amazing growing local community of small businesses I have also decided to have a weekly segment interviewing these inspiring people. Hence SNIPPETS was born

WHAT IS SNIPPETS?

Its a weekly segment of the Shophouse Sixtyfive blog , where I interview small business owners, mostly local Singapore based. There is a strong emphasis on handmade and crafter based companies.

WHO IS DOING THE INTERVIEWS?

I am, I’m Petrina Yuen, the Owner , Crafter and founder of Shophouse Sixtyfive, a locally based and inspired bath and body company. I seek out people and products I find interesting and do features and interviews on them.

WHY DO THIS?

Well I believe in growing the community and network of small crafters, and feel like we should all band together and enjoy sharing our crafts. As small businesses it is important to support each other , so I feel like doing this enables me to spread the word about new businesses that people may not have heard of. On the other hand it is great to have one place where you can find out all about what the local crafting scene is like. I’ve also always been interested in small success stories and find them inspiring.

HOW CAN I BE FEATURED IN SNIPPETS?

If you create products that are handmade, or unique , and are Singaporean based. I would love to hear from you . You may email me at ( petrina@shophousesixtyfive.com ) with the subject line of “SNIPPETS I want to be interviewed”
